Cold Ash Guides Complete Baden-Powell Awards

Four young women from 1st Cold Ash Guides recently received their Baden-Powell Awards.

Ella Feenstra, Hannah Mulhern, Anna Spence and Jasmine Self all had to complete 10 challenges, and then take part in a residential event with other Guides from across Berkshire.

Some of the challenges included organising events for the rest of their Guide unit, and for Brownie units in the village. When reviewing the project evidence each of the Guides provided, Ridgeway District Commissioner, Geraldine Johnson, was impressed with the work the girls had put in, and the different way each of them had presented their projects.

Three of these high achievers have now gone on to join the local Rangers unit in Cold Ash.
