Donnington Division

Newbury District assisted the Town Council with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration
on Sunday 3rd June which was held in Victoria Park, Newbury. Leaders worked with the
Boys Brigade to create and run an assault course for business and community teams plus
members of the public who fancied ago.

Hungerford District had a fantastic trip to Legoland in October, which was partially funded
from an excess in District funds which meant to trip was accessible to many girls who
would not normally be able to take part in this type of activity.

Wash Common District has expanded this year, incorporating one Rainbow and two
Brownie Units in Woolton Hill which have moved over from Hampshire. Joan Patrick
finished as District Commissioner this year and has taken on the challenge of coordinating
leaders in training in the Division. Lynne Patrick has been appointed as the new District
Commissioner.

The whole Division came together to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee and Olympics with a
craft and sports day held in July at St Gabriel’s School, Newbury.
