In March 2012 Guides completed an Incident Hike along a section of the Ridgeway and then took over the Youth Hostel for a night together.

Victoria Thompson, a Guide from 2nd Thatcham Guides, was selected for the South West Region trip to Roverway International Jamboree in Finland in July 2012.

Rosie Huxtable, a leader with 3rd Kennet Vale Rainbows, is doing The Girl Guide charity trek in Nepal 2013.
