Wokingham Division

Wokingham Division has been busy as always during the past Guiding Year and we are celebrating our Divisions 25th Birthday this Guiding Year.

Division Camp at The Willow Tree Centre in Harfield which 30 Guides attended with the theme of London Olympics 2012.

Showtime 2012 – More than 50 Rainbows, Brownies and Guides took part from Wokingham and South East Division.

The Rainbow Section held a birthday party at Monkey Mates in Wokingham to celebrate the Rainbow Section 25th Birthday and 1st and 2nd Woosehill Rainbows visited ICANDO.

2nd Winnersh Rainbows opened and are now full.

1st Wokingham Rangers re-opened in September and are already up to 16 girls and growing!! . The Rangers manned the water station at Wokingham Half Marathon along with 3rd Winnersh Guides. The Rangers are planning their promise weekend to London to ICANDO and Madam Tussauds.

1st Woosehill Brownies – raised £152 for a local charity – the Ollie Young Foundation, had a sleepover at the Science Museum, Skating Evening, Visited the CBBC Studios.

2nd Winnersh Brownies – Raised £204 for Children in Need and £716 by taking part in Race for Life as a Unit.

8th Wokingham (All Saints) Brownies – raised £197.02 for the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association and had their picture taken with a Guide Dog and handler whilst working through their Disabilities Badge.

1st Woosehill Guides – 4 Guides complete their BP Challenge and the unit camped at Willow Tree Centre and visit Harry Potter Studios

2nd Wokingham Guides – Camp at Beaudesert Park, Staffordshire. Volunteer at Norreys Community Fair, Sno Tubing, held a Christmas Party for the brownies and held a fundraising event raising £245.

1st Finchampstead Guides – Held a stall at Wokingham Winter carnival raising money for a Guide attend an international trip and also for a charity voted on by the Guides. Attended District Remembrance Sunday Service, Camped at Blackland Farm and held a raptile evening.

3rd Finchampstead Guides – 6 Guides complete their BP Challenge.

We welcomed Units from Arborfield, Barkham and Finchampstead into our Division in September and the girls and leaders have joined in our Division Events and Celebrations, most recently the Division Thinking Day Events where 216 Brownies attended The Holt, 60 Rainbows attended an event in Barkham and 90 Guides attended their Celebrations.
