The County Commissioner on 2012

During 2012 many of our Divisions, Districts and Units enjoyed celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the Olympics in a variety of ways, including street parties and sporting events.

Many of our girls have had the chance of a residential experience, whether locally or further afield, and there is no doubt that it is activities like this that give our girls opportunities that for some they may never otherwise have.

Karen, Sue, Jane and I have been privileged to attend a number of events that have been arranged for the girls, and it has been good to see them having fun. All of these activities would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and dedication of our leaders, unit helpers, supporters and Trefoil Guild members, and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for giving the girls such wonderful opportunities. During 2013 we must continue to build on our achievements and inspire our girls to keep Guiding alive in Berkshire.
